NBS designs and manufactures custom VRLA battery packs (Sealed Lead Acid) for a variety of applications. NBS offers a full array of UPS battery packs to suit any commercial, industrial, or military application, including those that require compliance to military environmental and electrical standards such as MIL-STD-810, MIL-S-901, MIL-STD-167, MIL-STD-1399, MIL-STD-461, RTCA/DO-160, and more. Packs are available in rack mount, freestanding, wall-mount, bulkhead, or custom enclosure configurations to suit applications with high shock or tight space constraints. Custom battery pack types include but are not limited to: VRLA battery packs, AGM battery packs, and SLA battery packs.
VRLA packs are sealed for minimum maintenance requirements, and are most commonly used for back-up power in UPS systems. For military or harsh environment applications, high purity cells are available with very wide storage / operation temperature range (-60°C to +80°C) and very long shelf life and life cycle.
